Field Engine

A visual mixing control surface for making depth and width decisions by looking at the relationship between sounds, then listening to what changes.

A mix is a field of relationships: what needs to come forward, what can sit behind it, and how wide the picture can be without losing its centre. Field Engine gives that decision one shared visual surface, so a mixer can move from a vague spatial problem to a concrete adjustment and check it by ear.

Field Engine is sold and installed as one product. Field Feed is the required track-side component that places the individual tracks on the shared field. It is installed with Field Engine and is not a separate product.

Review angle

The strongest review is not a feature tour. Start with one real mix problem: play a short passage where a depth or width relationship is unclear, make one deliberate placement decision on the field, bypass or undo the move, and let the listener compare. Did seeing the relationship help the mixer reach a better decision with less searching?

Field Engine does not replace listening, arrangement or a room, and one move on the field will not mix a song automatically.
