Every Buchert Audio product starts from a perceptual question — how does a mix gain weight, warmth, depth or width? — and is developed against real productions until it survives critical listening. Perception research sets the direction; the ear has the final word.

No analog emulation for its own sake, no feature bloat. Every parameter range, curve and default is chosen because it sounds right — validated across thousands of hours of professional production work.

Buchert Audio was founded by Morten Büchert — award-winning producer, mixer and sound engineer, and Associate Professor in Music Production at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen — with more than 30 years of professional music production behind him, in the studio, at concerts and as a songwriter and composer.

Years of teaching how music actually works — and countless sessions hearing when it doesn't — is the foundation every product stands on. That experience defines what each plugin should do, how its parameters should feel, and when it is good enough to release.

How we work

Three rules every release must pass

One question per product

Each plugin answers exactly one question you ask while mixing. Controls that don't serve it are cut.

Real material, real sessions

Developed and validated on real productions — never on spec sheets or presets alone.

The ear has veto

Nothing ships before it survives critical listening. What we publish is what a plugin verifiably does.
