These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of audio plugins developed and distributed by Buchert Audio ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing or downloading any Buchert Audio product, you agree to these Terms.
When you purchase a Buchert Audio plugin, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the software for personal or commercial music production.
All minor updates within the same major version are free. For example, if you purchase version 1.0, you will receive all 1.x updates (1.1, 1.2, etc.) at no additional cost. These updates include bug fixes, performance improvements, and minor feature additions.
Major version upgrades (e.g. from version 1.x to version 2.0) may be offered at a discounted price for existing license holders. Existing customers receive a 50% discount on major upgrades. Major upgrades are optional — your current version will continue to work.
We aim to maintain compatibility with current and recent macOS versions. However, we cannot guarantee future macOS compatibility indefinitely. If Apple introduces breaking changes in a future macOS release, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a compatibility update, but this is not guaranteed — especially for older plugin versions.
Plugins are provided as-is for the macOS versions listed in the system requirements at the time of purchase.
We offer a 40% student discount for currently enrolled students at accredited educational institutions. To claim the discount, contact hello@buchertaudio.com with proof of enrollment (student ID, enrollment letter, or .edu email verification). The discount applies to individual plugin purchases and the bundle.
Free demo versions may be available for selected plugins. Demo builds are fully functional but may produce periodic audio interruptions after extended continuous use. Demos have no time limit — you can use them as long as you need to evaluate the plugin.
You may not:
All intellectual property rights in the software, including but not limited to code, design, DSP algorithms, and branding, remain the property of Buchert Audio. Your license grants usage rights only — not ownership of the software itself.
The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Buchert Audio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the software. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the license.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Denmark.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
